
Catholic Relief Services aims to improve food security and the quality of life of poor families in rural and semi urban areas in Ghana. To accomplish this, CRS/Ghana supports programs that promote the involvement of local communities and organizations in the design and execution of activities.
In 2005, CRS/Ghana worked with local church, local partner organizations and communities to reach more than 450,000 poor, marginalized and vulnerable people, including: malnourished children, pregnant women and mothers, tuberculosis patients, people living with HIV/AIDS and their families, the elderly and the institutionalized, victims of social and political injustice, primary school children and poor women from rural areas.
